Appartamento Dalia. L'appartamento è situato al primo piano sopra gli altri ed è di ca. 90 metri quadrati.
Avvicinandosi l'appartamento dal giardino sul lato ovest della casa si entra nel soggiorno tramite 2 gradini. Di fronte a questo ingresso è un 100 anni quercia secolare sotto il quale vi è un divano a dondolo  e sedie per vivere all'aperto, un barbecue, una doccia esterna e un ampio parcheggio. Entrando nel salone si trova un camino di fronte aperto e la zona cottura sulla sinistra con forno, fuochi, frigo / freezer e lavastoviglie. Tra il camino e la zona cottura è un tavolo per 8 persone. Durante i mesi invernali l'appartamento è riscaldato.
Nel salotto ci sono due divani letto singoli ospitare 2 persone più un letto pieghevole e TV satellitare.
Dal soggiorno si accede ad un ampio terrazzo attrezzato con tavolo in pietra e sedie di ferro per mangiare fuori. La terrazza, ombreggiata da alberi di castagno è caratteristica piuttosto particolare della proprietà.
Dal soggiorno si accede alle due camere da letto ciascuna con bagno. Entrambi hanno un letto matrimoniale e il più grande dei due ha anche un letto singolo e una culla.
Entrambi i bagni sono ben rifinito con box doccia e il più grande dei 2 ha anche una lavatrice.

Questo appartamento al piano terra, sul lato sud della casa.
La principale differenza tra questo appartamento e gli altri è che non avendo barriere architettoniche e il bagno attrezzato per disabili apt. E è adattata per disabili. Durante i mesi invernali l'appartamento è riscaldato.
Dal giardino sul lato est si entra nel salotto, di fronte a questo ingresso c'è un tavolo e sedie per mangiare all'aperto, una doccia esterna e un barbecue. All'interno della casa a sinistra è la zona cottura con forno, fuochi, frigo / freezer, lavastoviglie e lavatrice.
Di fronte alla cucina è dotato di tavolo e sedie per mangiare all'interno.
Nel soggiorno c'è un divano letto per ospitare 2 persone (sia come un letto matrimoniale o due letti singoli), e TV satellitare.
Dal soggiorno si accede alla camera da letto che ha un letto matrimoniale e un letto singolo e un lettino, dalla camera da letto si accede al bagno e doccia.
Nel salotto c'è una porta di comunicare all'altra appartamento al piano terra, qualora il due essere affittate insieme. L'ampio giardino offre un ampio parcheggio.

This five day gastronomic break will see you truffle hunting, cooking, visiting local craftsmen, eating, drinking and seeing some wonderful places in Le Marche.

Your host for this excursion, Moreno, has always appreciated 'the sweet breath of the earth'. On his father's farm, where he grew up, they specialise in the production of old varities of apples such as the Mela Rosa dei Monti Sibillini. This apple was presented to the Slow Food movement in Turin and received some of the best national gastronomic reviews. A graduate of the University of Macerata in Tourism and rural Marketing, Moreno has had the good fortune to know and work with many influential thought leaders on the Slow Food Movement and front runners in Italian gastronomy and tourism.

Moreno is a local artisan and food lover who is keen to protect and promote this special area of Le Marche protecting and promoting its products and gastronomic traditions. He has also been featured in Italy on 'Feast with Heston Blumenthal' on Channel 4.

When you visit Le Marche you will inevitably be struck by the wonderful rural landscape, the rich cultural heritage, the historic architecture and the quality of the local produce. But we'd like to help you get under Le Marche's skin by meeting local artisans and experiencing the true flavour of rural life.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  The region's economy has traditionally been based upon agriculture and the fantastic products made by local artisans. Most of 

these artisans work for small family businesses that have handed down skills from one generation to the next, many still work by hand and, despite the demands of the global marketplace, there is still relatively little mechanisation.

Not many people know that Le Marche is one of Italy's principal truffle regions. The truth is that it's here you will find many of the valuable tuber magnatum pico (prized white truffle) and tuber melanosporum (delicious black truffle) that grace tables all over Italy.

Truffle Hunting in Le Marche

The region of Le Marche is extraordinarily rich with truffles. You are allowed to go hunting with trained dogs and can collect all species that are permitted by law. Both white and black truffles are readily found here but not at the same time of the year.

Experience a fantastic day truffle hunting with experts and their dogs in local woodland, then sit down and sample local wines and a mouth watering menu based around your truffles.

Your residence during this programme will be in a local agriturismo which will instantly immerse you into the Italian way of life with good food, good company and good wine.

Your rooms will be simple, exceptionally clean and comfortable with en suite bathrooms. Breakfast is included in the price and some evenings you will be eating at the restaurant at the agriturismo.

Day One: Welcome to Le Marche

Day Two: La Strada dell'Artigiano

·         Breakfast in the agriturismo

·         Morning – Visit to the Medieval Village of Ortezzano

·         Lunch in a Local Restaurant

·         After lunch, visit to the Pottery laboratory in Montottone Village

·         Return to the Agriturismo

·         Dinner out

Day Three: Truffle Hunting with local hunters

·         Breakfast is served

·         10.00 – cookery class on how to make pasta - when finished we leave the fresh pasta to dry and meet with the hunters for some local wine tasting

·         Lunch at the agriturismo to sample the pasta made in the morning along with other local recipes. Wine included

·         After lunch - leave for the woodlands and our truffle hunting experience

·         Truffle hunting with expert local hunters and their trained dogs

·         16.00 - a trip to Amandola Village for some free time and then back to the agriturismo

·         Dinner at the agriturismo

Day Four: Amore di Vino

·         Breakfast is served

·         Morning - Visit to the local winery 'Filippo Panichi' where you will be invited to taste some of the wonderful wines

·         Lunch at the winery

·         An afternoon in the beautiful city of Ascoli Piceno finishing with an aperitivo in one of the historic bars

·         Return to the agriturismo

·         Dinner at the agriturismo

Day Five: Amore di Vino

 Le Marche
The Le Marche region is a culturally rich area, divided into four provinces by four river valleys in a remote part of Italy. Much of Le Marche is, as yet, undiscovered by the crowds ensuring that the land and villages remain quiet and untouched. Its strategic location makes it a perfect spot for reaching all the most important destinations of central Italy including Florence, Siena, Assisi, Perugia, Urbino, Gubbio, and Ravenna. The Le Marche region lies on the eastern side of central Italy, between the Adriatic Sea and the majestic Apennine Mountains and has enough attractions to keep visitors busy for years. Admire the masterpieces of Renaissance art and architecture, hike across uncharted mountains or hunt for the best catch of the day in a Mediterranean fishing port. It is still possible to experience a taste of old-world cuisine and culture in Le Marche, an area still unsullied by mass tourism which makes it a very intriguing place to visit. The Marchigiani, the people of the Le Marche region, are hard working, warm and friendly. Known for producing quality merchandise in textiles and leathers, they have also developed special niches in artisan industries such as high quality handmade paper at Fabriano and musical instruments at Castelfidardo. Olive trees, fresh vegetables and vineyards are plentiful throughout the region also. Many seaside resorts stretch along the extensive of Adriatic coast, making it a relaxing destination for summer vacations.

Ascoli Piceno
Surrounded by mountains and natural parks, the town of Ascoli Piceno has been inhabited since pre-Roman times. Legend has it that a woodpecker led prehistoric settlers to the site, thus bringing about the town's foundation. Ascoli Piceno's historic center is rich in churches, palazzi and other important monuments. In particular, the town's central Renaissance square, Piazza del Popolo, is considered one of the most beautiful in Italy. This piazza, which acted as the forum in Roman times, is dominated by the Palazzo dei Capitani del Popolo, which was burned to the ground during a local feud in 1535 and completely rebuilt ten years later. You can also visit Le Marche's second largest art gallery inside the 17th-century Palazzo Comunale situated in Piazza Arringo, or Ascoli's cathedral in the same square.

Valle Rita is part of the old Girifalco farmhouse and is situated 72 metres above sea level. It boasts a tower dating back to the 11th century. The Girifalco estate has always been strategically important and rich of farming land: it belonged to important families as the Doria family in the 16th century, the Marquis Alcanices and grandees of Spain from the 17th to the end of the 18th century, when the property was donated to S.M. Maria Crristina of Austria, the last feudal lord until 1924. After that, the estate and the farm were divided. Today, the estate-farm belongs to the Lunati family, who were initially enchanted by the beauty and the charme of a secret, hidden land, full of history and very peaceful. This has inspired them to restructure the whole estate always aware of its authenticity and historical value.

APARTMENTS

There are 9 apartments, 2 to 5 beds each, for a total accomodation of 30 persons. The charming apartments are tastefully decorated with Mediterranean colors. They are all equipped with air conditioning, refrigerator, television, linen and kitchen utensils for a perfect and comfortable holiday. Each apartment is sourrounded by greenery, offering guests the chance to live outdoors enjoing nature and the relaxing seasonal colours of the countryside. Valle Rita is especially proud to propose two apartments, or rather two exceptional villas nestled in citrus-gardens, which have become a favourite destination

LAUREL/LEMON GRASS

These small and very comfortable apartments are located
close to the ancient farmyard. They are composed of a room with twin beds, a bathroom with shower and an entrance hall whith a kitchenette and a small table. Outside there is the garden and a patio. They are equipped with air conditioning, Tv, fridge, linen and kitchen utensils.

LAVANDER/ROSEMARY

Adjacent to the ancient farmyard, these apartments are composed of two big spaces: a large double room, a living room with a built-in kitchen, a fire place, a sofa bed and a dining area; then there is a bathroom with shower. Outside there is the garden and a patio. They are equipped with air conditioning, Tv, fridge, linen and kitchen utensils.

JUNEPER/BROOM/ORANGE BLOSSOM

These apartments overlook the Olive yard. They are characterised by a patio surrounded with rose trees. They are composed of a large and sunny living room with kitchenette, fridge, a dining area, and a sofa bed; then there is a double room, a dressing room, a bathroom with shower and outside there is a patio and the garden. They are equipped with air conditioning, Tv, cutlery plus kitchen utensils.

 

BEEHIVE

Situated in the Rita Valley surrounded by citrus-trees, it is only 500 m. away from the main Farm House court. Casa Api is one of the largest apartments and it comes with absolute privacy. The name is reminescent of the farmer workers who lived there and produced a delicious organic honey made from orange blossoms. This is still the case today. It is composed of a large living room with kitchenette, fridge, fireplace, two twin bed rooms, a bathroom with shower and a private garden. It is equipped with air conditioning, Tv, linen
and kitchen utensils. Stone steps leads from the garden to a private small church.

LITTLE ANGEL

This is the largest villa at the guests’ disposal, once it was the Shepard’s lodge. It is situated only 900 m. from the main Farm House court. At the back of the apartment, you’ll find
the aged 18th century palm-groves  where Queen Maria Cristina loved to relax. It is composed of a large living room with a kitchen, a fridge, a fire place and a sofa bed; a double room, a twin bed room, a storage room and a bathroom with a bath-tub. It is equipped with air conditioning, Tv, linen and kitchen utensils. Outside, you’ll find a private garden with an old wood-burning oven.

RESTAURANT

Life revolves around delicious food and great wine in Apulia and that is also the case in Valle Rita! We offer mediterranean flavors and tastes that will seduce even the most demanding palates. The recipes are based on seasonal products from our own organic farm: only the freshest ingredients that our chef will prepare, cooking a refined cuisine which combines quality research and local tradition. The cellar offers wines produced by our family business in Basilicata, labels that have won many national awards with wines from either DOC (Denominazione di Origine Controllata) or IGT (Indicazione Geografica Tipica) status. The restaurant is situated in two rooms where two large twin fireplaces embellish the décor. It once housed workers from Lecce who were here to harvest tobacco-leaves. Another pleasant area of our restaurant is the harmonious garden also opened to non-resident guests on reservation.

SERVICES

Valle Rita offers many facilities to its guets to allow you to totally relax and fully enjoy the charm of our authentic countryside. In this historical site, there are different activities ranging from relaxing bike rides to educational meetings on organic farming techniques, from dives into the beautiful panoramic swimming pool overlooking the vast countryside to playing tennis and much more. Valle Rita also offers its guests a romantic bar sourrounded by prickly pears and an ancient stable that is ideally suited for business-meetings, game-playing, relaxing and cooling down during the hot summer days or just sipping a glass of wine after dinner. There are also beautiful beaches nearby, as well as horseriding schools and golf courses.

ITINERARIES - THE IONIAN COAST

Valle Rita is situated along the Ionian Coast, a few kilometres from Ginosa Marina, Castellaneta Marina and Metaponto to the West. Taranto is situated not far to the East. The main attractions of this territory are the sandy beaches, the unspoilt nature and the magnificent remains of ancient Greece, the Magna Grecia. The landscapes are beautiful with their wide sandy beaches, vast pine forests and luxurious vegetation. Here the cities of Magna Grecia arose in the 8th century: Metaponto, Heraclea (now called Policoro), Siris and Pandosia. Historical traces are visible at the archaeological sites of Metaponto and Policoro. The park of Metaponto is of great historical and archaeological importance. It includes the monumental remains of the urban sanctuary dedicated to Apollo Licio and the adjacent Agorà. Named “Southern California” due to the flourishing agriculture, the Metapontina plain is now the flagship of Lucania economy.

MATERA

Matera, whose origin is lost in prehistory, is among the oldest and most picturesque cities in the world. Situated just 40 km from Valle Rita, be sure to expect a surreal scenery: the Sassi of Matera, part of the Unesco World Heritage Patrimony. It has the charme of a very ancient city where you can easily trace the history of Man from the Paleolitic until today, from the neolithic villages to the vast urban areas of Civita and Sassi. The original center of town is the “Civita”, dominated by the cathedral, besides which the sassi-districts “Barisano” and “Caveoso” have emerged. The urban structure of these districts consists of an intricate succession of narrow stairs, caves and palaces. The “Gravina”, the “Murgia” and more than 120 rock churches with byzanthine frescoes make this place unique, where Man has used the scarce resources of land without destroying it but by literally integrating in it.

THE ITRIA VALLEY

Trulli, stone walls, farmhouses, ancient Mediterranean villages, castels, cathedrals, monasteries, underground mills, cellars, festivals, religious festivals, and popular traditional dances: this is the Itria Valley. It is dominated by olivetrees grown in the lands of the old farmhouses (“masseria”,) which are small stone fortresses. Here the coast is marked by long sandy beaches, dunes and protected natural reserves. There are many traces of the ancient Messapian civilization like the small conic houses (“Trulli”) all over the valley which are stunningly beautiful. Here are some of the “must-see” villages in the Itria valley: Alberobello, for the originality of the houses (the “Trullis”) and Castellana Grotte known for its karst caves which are among the largest and most picturesque in Italy.

IL BAROCCO LECCESE

The center of Apulian baroque is Lecce, a city long known for its extraordinary architecture, sculptures and baroque paintings. It is absolutely unique. Walking through the streets of Lecce, you can admire facades (made with warm sandstone) of extraordinary churches, palaces and mansions: an eternal witness of the most wonderful art of Baroque. It is unique in its genre and that’s why we speak of “Barocco leccese”, Lecce is therfore also known as the “Florence of the South”.
