PROGRAM



Day 1. Arrival at Rome FCO – Leonardo Da Vinci Airport, meeting with the tour leader, transfer to the hotel with private bus. Check-in, welcome drinks, illustration of the program, dinner at a typical local restaurant, overnight stay.
Day 2. After breakfast, guided bus tour of Imperial Rome, lunch at own expense. In the afternoon, visit of the Baroque monuments of Rome. Back to the hotel in the evening, dinner at a typical local restaurant, overnight stay.
Day 3. After breakfast, guided bus tour of the Vatican City. lunch at own expense. Free afternoon. Dinner at a typical local restaurant. Back to the hotel, overnight stay.
Day 4. After breakfast, check-out and departure for Pompei, arrival at approximately 11,30. Guided tour of the buried city to admire ancient artifacts. Lunch at own expense. Visit of the Cathedral in the centre of at about 18,30. Dinner at the hotel. Overnight stay.

Day 5. After breakfast, excursion to Amalfi and Positano by boat. We will visit the two coastal cities on board two different boats. Lunch at own expense. Back to the hotel in the evening, and transfer to the port by bus, where we will embark for Palermo. Dinner on board at one’s own expense. Overnight stay in a booked cabin.
Day 6. Arrival in Palermo in the early morning. Transfer at a 4*star hotel in the centre of the city. Check-in, refreshment, brief presentation of the Sicilian leg, and transfer to Mercato del Capo, where you will experience the folklore of this unique and picturesque place. Lunch booked at a typical local restaurant. In the afternoon, a visit of Palermo, the Cathedral and the Hermits. You will be immersed in the history of this extraordinary region, which is considered the cradle of the Mediterranean culture. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7. After breakfast, transfer to Erice, where you will walk along the narrow roads featuring refined craft shops. Lunch is booked at San Vito lo Capo, where we will eat couscous. In the afternoon, transfer to Trapani, to walk along the famous Via del Sale. Back to Palermo, dinner at the hotel and overnight stay.
Day 8. After breakfast, check-out and departure for Cefalù, where we will visit the town and the Cathedral. Your journey will continue for Capo Tindari, to visit the Shrine of the Black Madonna, which is situated in a panoramic position of incomparable beauty. Lunch at a typical local restaurant. The journey will continue towards Reggio Calabria, arrival at about 18,30. Check-in, welcome cocktail, brief presentation of the Calabrian leg with the tour guide. Dinner at the hotel, overnight stay.

Day 9. In the morning a visit to Reggio Calabria, the Riace Bronze statues, the Cathedral, the most beautiful Kilometre in Italy. After the visit, lunch at own expense, free afternoon. Dinner at the hotel and overnight stay.
Day 10. After breakfast, whole day available at your own leisure. Overnight stay.
Day 11. After breakfast, departure for Gerace, to visit the Norman City. During the trip , there will be a stop over at Pentidattilo (*). In Gerace, we will have lunch at the Sparviero restaurant, where we will be presented with 15 different types of starters. In the afternoon we wil visit the historical centre and the Paolo Orsi Museum, which exhibits ancient artifacts from Locri Epizefiri. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay. (*) variation available if required in September. During the trip to Gerace, we will stop to visit the Roman Villa of Casignana, where there are precious and unique mosaics of the time. After the visit, transfer to a nearby wine farm, where they produce the famous white wine Greco di Bianco, here we will watch the grape harvest. The Greco di Bianco, in Calabria Grecanica, is 2500 years old. There will also be local specialties and wine tasting accompanied by folk music. After lunch, the trip will continue towards Gerace.
Day 12. After breakfast, check-out and departure for Scilla, mentioned by the Greek poet Homer in his poems. Here we will visit the Ruffo Castle and the coastal village of Chianalea, also called the Venice of the South, a corner of Calabria, whose beauty has enchanted world famous artists. Lunch is booked at a restaurant on the Beach of Sirens, which overlooks the Strait of Messina, and will be based on the local specialty, swordfish. After lunch, weather permitting, transfer to Mount St. Elijah, from where you can admire the view of the Aeolian Islands, the Strait of Messina and Mount Etna. Arrival at a 4*hotel/Resort in Amantea. Check-in, welcome drinks, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 13. Free morning to spend at the beach. Lunch at the hotel. In the afternoon, a visit of Paola, where there is the famous Shrine of Saint Francis, the most worshipped saint in the world. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 14. After breakfast, a visit to Tropea and Capo Vaticano. Lunch at a typical local restaurant. In the afternoon, transfer to Pizzo, to visit the Church of Piedigrotta, soon to be a World Heritage Site. The church is situated on the beach, it was excavated by the Barone Brothers. Later we will visit the main square, known as Spunduni, here we will taste the famous chocolate truffle/ice cream of Pizzo. Back at the hotel. Farewell dinner and overnight stay.
Day 15*. after breakfast, check-out and transfer to the airport, where you will catch your return flight. End of services.

"Classic" Tour Calabria








TOUR "CLASSIC" CALABRIA

PROGRAM


Day 1, arrival at the hotel in Cosenza, check-in, meeting with the tour guide, welcome cocktail, in the afternoon a visit to the MAB (Museum of contemporary Art), free time for shopping, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2, after breakfast, guided tour of Cosenza with the local shuttle bus, include a visit to Palazzo Arnone, the Cathedral (soon to become a World Heritage Site), the Theatre of Rendano, lunch at a quaint local restaurant with a musical surprise. Free afternoon, dinner at the hotel, overnight stay and for those who wish, visit of Cosenza by night with a local shuttle bus accompanied by a storyteller.

Day 3, after breakfast, departure for Santa Severina through the Sila National Park. Visit of the 1200 year old local castle. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, a visit of the Diocesan Museum and the Byzantine Baptistery, one the best preserved monuments in Southern Italy. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4, after breakfast, a visit of Costa dei Borghi Antichi and Fiumefreddo Bruzio, a charming Medieval village included in the Club of the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy, here you will be able to admire the works of a famous artist, Salvatore Fiume, beautiful noble palaces and the spectacular view from the little tower. Afterwards, transfer to Belmonte Calabro, a visit to the ancient Cappuccini Convent, where you can participate in the daily ritual of making homemade bread, which will then be served to you together with the local specialties, excellent wine and spring water. Back to the hotel in the afternoon, dinner and overnight stay. 


Day 5 after breakfast, check-out and departure for Palmi, to visit the Archaelogical Taureano Park. Our excursion will continue towards Scilla, a beautiful village of which the great Greek poet, Homer, talked about in his poems. Here we will stop for lunch at a typical local restaurant, where they will serve us the local specialty, swordfish. In the afternoon, a visit of Chianalea, a picturesque village also called the "Venice of the South", whose extraordinary beauty has enchanted poets and artists from around the world. In the afternoon, departure for Reggio Calabria, where, weather permitting, we will visit Mount Sant'Elia, from which you will enjoy the wonderful view of the Strait of Messina and the Viola Coast. Check-in at a 4* hotel, , dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6, after breakfast, departure for Gerace, a beautiful Norman village. We will first visit the Paolo Orsi Museum and the town of Gerace, which is also included in the Club of the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy. Lunch is booked on a farm. Back to the hotel in the afternoon, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7, after breakfast, a visit of Reggio Calabria, that hosts the famous Bronzi di Riace (Bronze statues of Greek warriors), the Baroque Cathedral, and the waterfront. Lunch, free afternoon, dinner at the hotel and overnight stay.

Day 8, after breakfast, check-out and departure. End of service.

PROGRAM


Day 1. Arrival at the hotel, check-in, welcome cocktail, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2, Palmi/Monte Sant'Elia/Palmi. After breakfast, guided tour of Palmi and the surrounding area, up to Mount Saint Elias; later a visit to the House of Culture, or the Francesco Cilea Museum, and the Picture Gallery dedicated to Leonida Repaci. Lunch at a typical local restaurant. Afternoon at leisure, with the possibility to use the Hotel Spa (sauna, Turkish bath, hydro-massage, indoor pool). Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3. Mini-cruise from Palmi to Scilla. After breakfast, at 9.30 a.m., boarding for a mini-cruise “to the discovery of Costa Viola – from Palmi to Scilla – the Homeric coast where according to the legend the mermaids sing mesmerizing songs. The mini-cruise also includes a picnic on the beach. Return to the hotel, spa, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4, Palmi/Scilla/Palmi. After breakfast, passing through Bagnara, excursion to Scilla, the “Venice of the South”, to visit the picturesque and charming village of Chianalea that, with its beauty, has enchanted poets and painters around the world and a visit to the Ruffo Castle. Lunch at a local restaurant, here you will enjoy the extraordinary view of the Bay of Sirens, the Castle and Sicily. Here you will taste a typical local dish, Swordfish. Return to the hotel, farewell and departure.

4 stars Grand hotel founded in the beginning of 1900 located in the heart of Florence that well combine 

modern facilities with the hand-crafted wooden furnishings all add to the intimate and tranquil atmosphere. The restaurant has splendid views over the city of Florence.


In the rest of the holiday: Villa with Bed and Breakfast treatment. Description of the villa: Started first as a plantation in 1500, this pleasant and relaxing house is very close to the main towns like Florence, Pisa and Montecatini Terme but at the same time from there is possible to admire the typical Tuscan landscape with many medieval places and villages all around the property. In each room, Guests will find terracotta and terrazzo floors, yellow Siena marble inside the bathrooms and extraordinary comfort with the mattress for beds. Bathrobe and slippers, one kettle with some filters of tea are available in each room free of charge. Children not admitted in the villa under 12 years old


Day 1: A travel inside the sense of smell
Arrival to the airport of Florence and pick up by our personal coach with our assistant. If the arrival will be in the morning, it will be possible to organize a lunch in one of the restaurant in Florence. In the afternoon, with an English speaking guide short walk through the beautiful historic centre of Florence, arrival to the world’s first interactive Atelier, dedicated to Essences and Perfumes located inside an ancient family Palace of 15th century. Here, Clients will have a awakening of sense of smell: visiting this unique museum they will have the possibility to smell fragrances and perfumes here created and buy their tailor-made fragrances (only with fixed appointment during booking the package). During the visit, will be served a little buffet and before leaving the Atelier, a 200 ml bottle of perfume or a bottle of bath lotion will be donated from the owner of the Atelier (only for groups not individuals). Important personalities have stopped here: politicians, Arab princesses, actors, film directors and authors. Possibility to buy perfumes for the person, bath or for the house. After this engaging Experience, by private coach, Clients will visit Fiesole to assist to a romantic sunset above the sky of Florence and will have dinner in a typical Tuscan restaurant. Overnight in the hotel.

Day 2: Florence: Discover one of the UNESCO’s town and symbol of Italy
After breakfast, with an English speaking guide, you will admire the cathedral and imposing dome by Brunelleschi. After that walking down the medieval streets of the oldest city district you will reach the church of Santa Croce, known as “the Pantheon of the Italian glories”, houses the tombs of great Italians of the past such as Michelangelo, Machiavelli, Galileo Galilei and Gioacchino Rossini. It will be visited Piazza Signoria and the most famouse bridge, Ponte Vecchio, the oldest bridge of the city lined up with medieval little shops sparkling with goldm gems and silver. Free lunch or booked in a restaurant under request. In the afternoon, visit to the Uffizi Museum. Free time for shopping. In the second part of the afternoon, departure for Montecatini Terme to have dinner with Tuscan dishes. Check in in Villa and overnight.

Day 3: Special Wine Tastings in exclusive cellars
After a well furnished breakfast, departure to visit Montalcino and Montepulciano to have an unforgettable experience: Visit of the hamlet of the hamlet of Montepulciano, visit of Pienza and light lunch. Visit of Fattoria Poggio Antico in Montalcino (very exclusive cellar) where guests will have the wine tasting. Visit of the hamlet of Montalcino.
MONTALCINO is the birthplace of one of the most famous of Tuscan wine: Brunello. Visiting the town of Montalcino will introduce you to this wine of great character that is cultivated exclusively in this area. Clients will visit one of the most famous wine cellars, owned by Poggio Antico, where Clients will have the opportunity to speak to the owner who will explain how such a great wine is born.
MONTEPULCIANO: Noble Wine (Il Nobile), produced in Montepulciano, has sangiovese grapes as its base. We will be able to admire the incredible panorama that surrounds this area and visit the wine cellar Poliziano Winery – one of the most renowned – and taste the wide range of wines available, from the Montepulciano Red (Rosso di Montepulciano), with a great bouquet and younger than the Nobile, which is a strong-bodies and well balanced wine. 

SUGGESTIONS
The lands surrounding these hamlets are those you see in the typical picture postcards of Tuscany. The well-known cypress trees and white roads snaking across the luxuriant country side are exactly what you will see when visit these places. On this tour you can appreciate the medieval atmosphere made of castles and towers, which will take you through lands where time seems to have stopped. Between Montalcino and Montepulciano you will visit Pienza - the ideal city - beautiful and refined, mostly known for its typical wine and food products.

Come back to the villa and have free time to relax. Dinner in restaurant and overnight in villa.

Day4: Unforgettable Experience: Cooking lesson
After breakfast, meeting with our personal chef to have a funny cooking lesson and lunch with dishes made by clients. With our cooking classes the Guest can find what he wants to learn how to cook the tastiest dishes of Tuscan cuisine. The Tuscan cuisine offers a variety of dishes that vary from province to province, and that really highlight the richness and quality of local products that Tuscany produces. Good Tuscan wines will be abbined to dishes tasted.
In the afternoon visit of Lucca and in the last part of the afternoon where it will be a visit to a atelier in a historical building. Dinner in Montecarlo that is a small town of Medieval origin where it is produced extra virgin olive oil DOC and famous and appreciated white and red wines. This territory is one of the 18 streets of Tuscan wine. During dinner, will be tasted typical food and local wines. From the terrace of Montecarlo, it is possible to admire a stunning overview of the valley. Overnight in villa 

Day 5: Pistoia, the Tuscan Cinderella
In the morning, after a well funished breakfast, departure to visit Pistoia a Medieval town that has been under the power of Medici Family. During this period, was built the third biggest Dome after Vatican and Florence one. A English speaking guide will show to Clients the most important monuments of the historical center. Lunch in the historic center for tasting typical Pistoia dishes. In the afternoon guided visit the the a villa of Medician period where are installed many contemporary works of art. The last of these is by Daniel Burén. Visit the a museum where are collected old tackles used by farmers in the past, old toys and laundry used in 1900’s years. Tasting of Choccolate, Italian coffee or tea during the afternoon. Dinner in a charming restaurant. Overnight in villa.

Day 6: Travelling on the Tuscan seacoast, unique wine tasting Experience
Visit to the Sassicaia cellar, one of the most exclusive wines of Italy and where is possible to have a very exclusive Wine tasting considerino that usually people have to want a long time before to be accepted inside. Visit to Caia Rossa winery in Riparbella. Wine tasting and explanation of the techniques of viticulture.Visit of the hamlet of Riparbella.Visit of Bolgheri hamlet and light lunch
Visit of the second winery Tenuta Argentiera with tour of the vineyards with wonderful landscape of the Mediterranean Sea and the Gulf of Baratti. Wine tasting. Dinner in restaurant tasting sea fish dishes. Overnight  in villa.

Day 7: Pisa, one of the Tuscan symbols.
In the morning, after a well furnished breakfast, with an English speaking guide visit throughout the history of the great Maritime Republic of Pisa discovering the events and historical characters that were at the origin of this magnificent monumental complex. Clients will see Giovanni Pisano’s pulpit, Cimabue’s mosaic, Emperor Henry VII’s monumental tomb, paintings by Del Sarto, Sogliani, Sodoma and much more. Galileo Galilei’s ‘pendulum’ still hangs over the main altar and the Field of Miracles where the Leaning Tower stands. We finally suggest to visit with the guide the ‘Camposanto’ (monumental Medieval cemetery), a mandatory stop for the many European travellers who came to Pisa on the legendary Gran Tour.
Free time for lunch (or reserved if requested). Departure for Volterra traveling through the beautiful Tuscan landscape. During the travel, it will be possible to visit Lajatico, the birthplace of the famous singer Andrea Bocelli. Volterra was a Neolithic settlement and an important Etruscan center. Volterra is a city of stone. Its narrow streets, looming tower, majestic palaces and fortifications are made of stone. Alabaster is also a stone and so is the craft. There are many shops where are sold object made by alabaster. Time for shopping and departure to come back to the villa. Dinner during the travel. Overnight in villa.

Day 8: Wellness and Relax
Monsummano Terme is one of the most important Thermal Center of Italy and it is very appreciated all over the world. Entire day dedicated to thermal treatments, beauty treatments, beauty treatments and swimming in the thermal pool. Light lunch in the pool zone served by high qualified staff.
An option could be a visit to Vinci, where Leonardo da Vinci was born and visit the museum where are collected the most important Leonardo’s inventions. Dinner in charming restaurant or agriturism. Overnight in villa
Day 9: The beautiful UNESCO’s town, Siena
After well furnished breakfast, departure for Siena to have a guided tour of the main monuments. Siena is a UNESCO world heritage site and this itinerary takes the visitor through its most important sites to gain a general impression of the city. From the Basilica of Saint dominic, where Saint Catherine relics hav been revered for centuries, Clients will go along the old Francigena road, the backbone of medieval Siena. Clients will see the headquarters of Monte dei Paschi, the oldest bank in Europe, Tolomei square and the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption which is a superb example of gothic architecture with rich art patrimony left by artists such as Michelangelo, Donatello, Bernini, Nicola and Giovanni Pisano

Day 10: Bye Bye Italy
Check off Villa and departure by personal coach for the airport to come back home.

              APARTMENT FRESIA




Apartment Fresia.
This apartment in on the ground floor on the north side of the house.
In the garden there is a stone table, iron chairs, outside shower and B-B-Q. From the garden on the north side one enters the living room, in front of this entrance there are a table and chairs for outside dining. Inside the house on the right is the cooking area with oven, burners, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.
Opposite the kitchen is an open fireplace and table and chairs for inside dining. During winter months the apartment is centrally heated.

In the living room there is a sofa bed accommodating 2 people (either as a double bed or two single beds), and a satellite TV.
From the living room one enters the bedroom which has a double bed and a single bed and a cot, from the bedroom one has access the bathroom.
In the living room there is a communicating door to the other ground floor apartment, should the two be rented together.
The large garden provides ample parking space.

 







 APPARTAMENTO GARDENIA



Appartamento G (GARDENIA) 
Questo appartamento si trova al piano terra e dispone di porte di fronte Sud, Est e Nord. Il sud d'ingresso non presenta barriere architettoniche e il bagno è attrezzato per i disabili. Dal giardino si accede ad un ampio soggiorno con due TV (satellite) e due divani che possono diventare due matrimoniali o quattro letti singoli. Ci sono due (forno a gas e fuochi, frigo - freezer lavastoviglie e lavatrice), completamente attrezzate. Zone cottura, un tavolo per 10 persone e un caminetto
Ci sono due camere da letto ognuna con un letto matrimoniale e un letto singolo e lettino. Entrambe le camere sono dotate di bagno privato con doccia.
Il giardino è ombreggiato da alberi di castagno e si affaccia sulla piscina. Ci sono due BB-Qs, due docce esterne e ha due gazebo, ognuno con un tavolo in pietra e divano in ferro battuto e sedie. I gazebo sono completi di tende e tendaggi fornendo molto piacevole spazio esterno relax.
L'recintato  giardino  offre un ampio parcheggio.

Tuscany - Villa Quercia - apartment Dalia






APPARTAMENTO DALIA
















Appartamento Dalia. L'appartamento è situato al primo piano sopra gli altri ed è di ca. 90 metri quadrati.
Avvicinandosi l'appartamento dal giardino sul lato ovest della casa si entra nel soggiorno tramite 2 gradini. Di fronte a questo ingresso è un 100 anni quercia secolare sotto il quale vi è un divano a dondolo  e sedie per vivere all'aperto, un barbecue, una doccia esterna e un ampio parcheggio. Entrando nel salone si trova un camino di fronte aperto e la zona cottura sulla sinistra con forno, fuochi, frigo / freezer e lavastoviglie. Tra il camino e la zona cottura è un tavolo per 8 persone. Durante i mesi invernali l'appartamento è riscaldato.
Nel salotto ci sono due divani letto singoli ospitare 2 persone più un letto pieghevole e TV satellitare.
Dal soggiorno si accede ad un ampio terrazzo attrezzato con tavolo in pietra e sedie di ferro per mangiare fuori. La terrazza, ombreggiata da alberi di castagno è caratteristica piuttosto particolare della proprietà.
Dal soggiorno si accede alle due camere da letto ciascuna con bagno. Entrambi hanno un letto matrimoniale e il più grande dei due ha anche un letto singolo e una culla.
Entrambi i bagni sono ben rifinito con box doccia e il più grande dei 2 ha anche una lavatrice.

Tuscany - Villa Quercia - Apartment Erica




APPARTAMENTO ERICA


                                                                                  Appartamento Erica.
Questo appartamento al piano terra, sul lato sud della casa.
La principale differenza tra questo appartamento e gli altri è che non avendo barriere architettoniche e il bagno attrezzato per disabili apt. E è adattata per disabili. Durante i mesi invernali l'appartamento è riscaldato.
Dal giardino sul lato est si entra nel salotto, di fronte a questo ingresso c'è un tavolo e sedie per mangiare all'aperto, una doccia esterna e un barbecue. All'interno della casa a sinistra è la zona cottura con forno, fuochi, frigo / freezer, lavastoviglie e lavatrice.
Di fronte alla cucina è dotato di tavolo e sedie per mangiare all'interno.
Nel soggiorno c'è un divano letto per ospitare 2 persone (sia come un letto matrimoniale o due letti singoli), e TV satellitare.
Dal soggiorno si accede alla camera da letto che ha un letto matrimoniale e un letto singolo e un lettino, dalla camera da letto si accede al bagno e doccia.
